    Ninth National Defense batch visits Special Economic Zone at Duqm

    Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (Opaz) hosted a delegation of the 9th National Defense batch, led by Air Vice Marshal Eng. Saleh bin Yahya Al Maskari, Commandant of the National Defense College (NDC), and several faculty members visited the Special Economic Zone at Duqm for three days. They met Dr Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, and many officials from Sezad and the companies operating in the Zone when they arrived at Duqm (Sezad).

    Ninth National Defense batch visits Special Economic Zone at Duqm

    Sezad presented its capabilities in many different sectors to the delegation, including renewable energy (green energy), logistics, and others. A tour of the zone’s different projects and facilities followed, including the port and dry dock, and energy projects like the Duqm Refinery and central facilities. In addition, the delegation visited several other projects in Sezad, including the multi-purpose Fishing Port, the Port of Duqm, the dry dock, the Karwa Motors factory, the tourist zone, and the Rock Garden.
